Mallorca Llaüts

Mallorcan Llaüts are traditional wooden boats that were originally designed for trawling. Today they are highly valued vessels that evoke memories and traditions, not only of Mallorca, but also of all the Balearic Islands.

At Itinerem we are committed to publicising and promoting the history of Mallorca, not only through the Possessions, but also through other elements that have formed Mallorcan culture and identity. That’s why we offer guided tours of both Formentor and the Bay of Pollença in these artisan boats through our partners Mallorca Llaüts, whose boats have also been used for advertisements such as Fitur 2017 or video clips such as for the song ‘Alma Libre’ by Green Valley.

Mallorca Llaüts. Guided tour of Formentor and the Bay of Pollensa

Would you like to enjoy an unforgettable day visiting spectacular locations in Mallorca aboard a traditional llaüt? If the answer is yes, then you really have to try this experience! Visit the most inaccessible coves around Formentor and the Bay of Pollença on a guided private tour aboard Fortuna, a wooden llaüt built almost 60 years ago. Through folk tales and stories from the region, our guides will explain the stunning locations you will visit.

The guided tour also offers cold appetisers (such as the traditional Mallorcan ‘pa amb oli’), local wine (they make the organic wine themselves) and a choice of drinks (cava, red wine, beer, coke, fanta, fruit juice and water). A wide range of things to enjoy as you discover the history of Formentor and the Bay of Pollensa and its most inhospitable corners.

Other experiences

Work on the land, taking care of the animals, traditional cuisine or even local festivals speak volumes about the culture and history of a town or village. At Itinerem we help you look into the history of Mallorca through taking part in a range of different experiences. Discover them all!
